We Wellcome you to the Monasterio of Carrizo in León, Spain.
Our Monastery was founded in 1176
It has always remained inhabited by a Cistercian Community. In the 19th century, the Monastery was abandoned due to the confiscation of Mendizábal, but three years later the Community returned and remains to this day.
Today it is made up of 16 contemplative nuns dedicated to the search for God in ora et labora according to the rule of Saint Benedict.
